<br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED
<br /> IN THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS
<br /> OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE
<br /> MATERIALS REMAINING ON THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE ANUISANCE
<br /> AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFF AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO
<br /> THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE I:]HABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND
<br /> ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LtTMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES
<br /> TO BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO
<br /> ABATE SUCH NUISANCE.
<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing wds called to order by the
<br /> Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, on the llth
<br /> day of Apri1, 1988, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council
<br /> Room, City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building
<br /> Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the
<br /> resolutions referred to the Committee by the City Council on
<br /> the 16th day of February, 1988, and said Committee fixed
<br /> said hearing at 10:00 o`clock A.M. on the 18th day of March,
<br /> 1988, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice
<br /> was given to the owner or owners of the structures located
<br /> at the following addresses:
<br /> 449 W. Provine, Lot 1, Block 89,
<br /> 1423 S. Main Street, Lot 10, Block 5, Texas & Pacific
<br /> Addition.
<br /> 762 Wood, Pt. Lot 4, Block 2, Pickard Addition.
<br /> 536 3rd N.E,, Lot 15A, Block 60A.
<br /> 424 2nd N.E., Lot 5, Block 59,
<br /> 1027 8th N.W., Lot 10, Block l, E. S. Connors Addition.
<br /> 779 Ash, Pt. of Lot 2, Block 2, Pickard Addition.
<br /> 789 Ash, Pt. of Lot 1, Block 2, Pickard Additiori.
<br /> 445 4th N.W., Lot 3, Block 540
<br /> 1221 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Lot 7, Block 268,
<br /> 102$ Shiloh, Lot 5, Block 86,
<br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures
<br /> involved and introduced pictures of the various portions of
<br /> the structures and various portions of the premises involved
<br /> and a list of discrepancies in the structures located
<br /> thereon. That the Committee found that each of the above
<br /> structures was in such state of deterioration and
<br /> dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and
<br /> property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and
<br /> was dangerous to life and property and dangerous structures
<br /> to life and property. That said buildings are in such a
<br /> state of dilapidation and decay that none of said structures
<br /> are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi-
<br /> tion of_ the premises and structures involved was such that
<br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be
<br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered
<br /> by the City Council to tear down and remove the same from
<br /> the lots involved. That said Committee filed a complete
<br /> report of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk
<br /> of the City of Paris on the 25th day of March, 1988; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that proper
<br /> notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures
<br /> hereinafter listed. That at said hearing on the 18th day of
<br /> March, 1988, the Committee listed the structures involved
<br /> and introduced pictures of the various portions of the
<br /> structures and various portions of the premises involved and
