<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. $6-002 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED <br /> IN THE CITY QF PARIS, TF.XAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS, <br /> AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COtTNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS <br /> R.EMAINING ON THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE <br /> A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE <br /> AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING <br /> SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE <br /> TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROi1 TNE PREMISES IN ORDER. TO ABATE <br /> SUCH NUISANCE. <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the <br /> Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, Jr., on the lOth <br /> day of February, 1986, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council <br /> Room, City Ha1l., in the city of Paris, Texas; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building <br /> Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the <br /> resolution referred to the Committee by the City Council an <br /> the 9th day of September, 1985, and said Committee fixed <br /> said hearing at 10:00 o'clock A.M. on the 31st day of <br /> January, 1986, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper <br /> notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures <br /> located at the following addresses: <br /> 1409 Franklin, Lot 1& 2, Block 232 <br /> 1050 5th S. E., Lot 19, Block 160 <br /> 1246 - 13th N.W., Lot l, Block A, Fuller-Dahoney <br /> 1600 Fitzhugh Ave., Lot 43, Block, East Park <br /> 1415 Martin Luther King Drive, Lot 2, Block l, Lane Place <br /> Addition <br /> 605 - lOth N. E., Lot 17, Block 69-A <br /> 730 Carr Al1ey, Lot 15, Block 131 <br /> 414 Orange, Lot 2, Block l, South Park Additiori <br /> 1590 W. Long, Lot l, Block 3, Maxey Addition <br /> 1233 Franklin, Lot 1, Block K, Fuller-Dahoney <br /> 772 - 5th N. Price, I.ot 3, Block 29 <br /> That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures <br /> invo?ved and introduced pictures of the various portions of <br /> the structures and various portions of the premises involved <br /> and a list of discrepancies in the structures located <br /> thereon. That the Committee found that each of the above <br /> structures was in such state of deterioration and <br /> dilapidation as to create a serious f.ire hazard to life and <br /> property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and <br /> was dangerous to life and property azid dangerous structizres <br /> to life and propPrty. That said buildings are in such a <br /> state of dilapidation and decay that none of said structures <br /> are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi- <br /> tion of the premises and structures involved was such that <br /> the Committee recommended to the City Council that they be <br /> declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered <br /> by the City Council to tear down and remove the same from <br /> the lots involved.
