That the Code of Ordinances of the City <br /> of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by revising Section <br /> 262-18 so that such shall. read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 262-18. Design. <br /> <br /> All signs shall be designed and constructed <br /> in accordance with Section 2301.1 through 2302.3 <br /> of the Standard Building Code, 1982 edition, and <br /> all amendments thereto, which is hereby specif- <br /> ically adopted." <br /> Section 4. That the Code of Ordinances of the City <br /> of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by revising Section <br /> 262-19 so that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 262-19. Chapter to regulate sign and <br /> billboard matters. <br /> <br /> Sections 2301 through 2301,10 and 2302.1 <br /> through 2304 of the Standard Building Code, 1982 <br /> edition, and all amendments thereto, relating to <br /> signs and outdoor displays are, in all things, <br /> repealed and all matters pertaining to signs and <br /> billboards shall be governed and regulated by <br /> Chapter 262 of the Code of Ordinances of the City <br /> of Paris, Paris, Texas." <br /> Section 5. That the Code of Ordinances of the City <br /> of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by revising Section <br /> 262-21 (g) so that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 26<~,-21. Removal of nonconforming signs. <br /> <br /> (g) In the event that a sign becomes a <br /> nonconforming sign, or must be relocated, recon- <br /> structed or removed J'or the public convenience, <br /> the owner of such sign may apply ior reimbursement <br /> for 20% of the original cost of said sign if the <br /> sign is at least 4 years old but less than 5 years <br /> old; 40% if the sign is 3 years old but less than <br /> 4 years old; 60$ if the sign is 2 years old but <br /> less than 3 years old; 80% if the sign is one year <br /> old but less than 2 years old and 90% if the sign <br /> is less than one year old. The owner desiring <br /> reimbursement must be able to verify his original <br /> cost to the satisfaction of the Director of <br /> Finance of the City of Paris in order to receive <br /> any reimbursement. In the event that a sign <br /> becomes a nonconforming sign, or must be removed <br /> for the public convenience and said sign was not <br /> erected in violation of the provisions of this <br /> Chapter applicable at the time of its erection, <br /> the owner may reject the above reimbursement plan <br /> and avail himself of the rights granted in Section <br /> 7, Article 10150 of Vernon's Texas Civil <br /> Statutes." <br /> Section 6. That the Code of Ordinances of the City <br /> of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by revising Section <br /> 262-26 so that such shall read as follows: <br /> "Sec. 262-26. Required. <br /> No signboard, billboard, torpedo sign or <br /> electric sign on any building or on the ground, <br /> except as otherwise provided for herein, shall be <br /> erected, reconstructed or placed within the city <br /> unless a permit shall have been first secured from <br />
