<br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FUR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN
<br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE
<br /> ANIIEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 17.55 ACRES,
<br /> MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PERCENT (I0%) OF THE
<br /> TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH
<br /> SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT
<br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND
<br /> PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY.
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council of the
<br /> City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons
<br /> were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the
<br /> proposed annexation of the following described property:
<br /> All that tract or parcel of land a part of
<br /> the Reddin Russell Survey No. 786, Lamar County,
<br /> Texas, and being a part of a 94 . 07 acre tract of
<br /> land devised to Estelle Council as shown in
<br /> Affidavit recorded in Volume 305, Page 455, Deed
<br /> Records of Lamar County, Texas, and being more
<br /> particularly described as follows:
<br /> BEGINNING at a point in the North boundary
<br /> line of Stone Avenue, said point being N59°40'W,
<br /> 801.5 feet from the Southwest corner of a tract of
<br /> land conveyed to Powderly-Reno Consolidated
<br /> Independent School District by deed recorded in
<br /> Valume 459, Page 163, Deed Records, Lamar County,
<br /> Texas, and being the Southwest corner of a 6 acre
<br /> tract of land under option to Northwestern Cor-
<br /> poration;
<br /> THENCE North 4°21'W, 817.1 feet to a point;
<br /> THENCE North 50°30'W, 501.6 feet to a point,
<br /> the same being the Southeast corner of the North
<br /> Paris Baptist Church property;
<br /> THENCE South 76°12'E, 1,449.3 feet to a
<br /> point, the same being the Northwest corner of the
<br /> North Lamar Independent School District property;
<br /> THENCE South, 718.7 feet with the West
<br /> boundary line of said North Lamar Independent
<br /> School District property to a point;
<br /> THENCE South 30°20'W, 232.8 feet with said
<br /> North Lamar Independent School District property,
<br /> to a point, the same being the Northeast corner of
<br /> a 2 acre tract conveyed to G. Edward Clark, III
<br /> and M. Thomas Cuttrell by Estelle Council by Deed
<br /> dated January 14, 1984;
<br /> THENCE North 59°40'W, 295.1 feet with the
<br /> North boundary line of said 2 acre tract to a
<br /> point, said point being in the East boundary line
<br /> of the 6 acre tract under option to Northwestern
<br /> Corporation;
<br /> THENCE South 30°20'E, 215.8 feet to a point,
<br /> the same being the Northeast corner of said 6 acre
<br /> tract;
<br /> THENCE North 59°40'W, 511 feet to a point,
<br /> the same being the Northwest corner of said 6 acre
<br /> tract;
<br /> THENCE South 30°20'W with said 6 acre tract's
<br /> West boundary line to the place of beginning,
<br /> containing 17.55 acres of land more or less.
<br /> were held at Paris, Texas, on the llth day of April, 1985,
<br /> in Regular Session convened, at 5:15 o'clock P.M., in the
<br /> Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, and on the 15th day
<br /> of April, 1985, in Regular Session convened, at 7:00 o'clock
<br /> P.M., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, which
<br /> dates are not more than forty (40) nor less than twenty (20)
