West a distance of 374 feet to a stake for corner at the Northeast corner of said 4.113 acre tract of land; THENCE along the South Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286 as follows: South 68 Deg. West a distance of 35.4 feet; South 72 Deg. West u distance of 148 feet; South 67 Deg. West a dis- tance of 400 feet; South 59 Deg. West a distance of 101 feet; South 67 Deg. West a distance of 191 feet; South a distance of 43 feet; North 88 Deg. G1est a distance of 104 feet; South 67 Deg. West a distance of 538 feet; South 58 Deg. West a dis- tance of 611 feet to the place of beginning and continuing 90.62 acre of land. Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be published once in the newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more that twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days pr.ior to the date of such public hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled a.s Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes). Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the inten- tion of the City Council of the City of Paris that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sen- tence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be dFClared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall r_ot affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and section s of" this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the city Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any unconstitutional or invalid phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections. It is further hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Paris to exclude ar.y 2.rea or areas described in the description of the property to be annexed, which are not within said City's jurisdiction to annex and that such area or areas should be carved out of the description of the property hereir_ described by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, in order that such area or areas would not cause this annexation ordinance to be found to be invalid, voidable or void.
