<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> OkDIT3ANCE N0. $3-075 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTETdSION OF CERTAIN <br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE <br /> ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 19.607 ACRES, <br /> MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE <br /> TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH <br /> SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT <br /> BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND <br /> PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY. <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of <br /> the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested <br /> persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the <br /> proposed annexation of the following described property: <br /> Situated about 3 miles East from the City of <br /> Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part <br /> of the Joseph Leach Survey, Abstract No. 524, and <br /> being part of a 34.34 acre tract of land described <br /> as Third tract in Deed of Trust Records in Volume <br /> 108, Page 165 of the Deed of Trust Records of said <br /> County and State, which is a part of the same land <br /> described in a Deed from Charles Manton et ux to <br /> S. E. Smith on January 1, 1902, of record in <br /> Volume 102, Page 464, and the land conveyed S. E. <br /> Smith by J. G. Marshall, January 18, 1902, of <br /> record in Volume 103, Page 6, of said Deed Records <br /> of said County and State, and being further <br /> described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at an iron pin for corner in the <br /> East Boundary line of said Leach Survey, situated <br /> South 0° 30' 30" West with the East Boundary Line <br /> of said Leach Survey a distance of 611.1 feet from <br /> the Northeast corner of said 34.34 acre tract, <br /> same being in the South Boundary Line of U. S. <br /> Highway 82; <br /> THENCE South 0° 31' 30" West, with the East <br /> Boundary Line of said Leach Survey, a distance of <br /> 619.5 feet, a fence post for corner; <br /> THENCE North 89° 46' West a distance of <br /> 176.37 feet to a concrete monument for corner, the <br /> Northeast corner of Morningside Estates, Part 10, <br /> as shown by Plat that is duly recorded in the Plat <br /> Records of said county and State; <br /> THENCE North 88° 49' West a distance of 248.6 <br /> feet to a concrete monur.-!ent for corner; <br /> THENCE North 89° 07' West a distance of <br /> 947.83 feet to an iron pin for corner, the North- <br /> west corner of said Morningside Estates, Part 10; <br /> THENCE North 0° 20' West a distance of 619.5 <br /> feet, an iron pin for corner; <br /> THENCE South 89° 09' East a distance of <br /> 1382.15 feet to the place of beginning and con- <br /> taining 19.607 acres of land, more or less. <br /> was held at Paris, Texas, on the 17th day of October, 1983, <br /> in Regular Session convened, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the <br /> Cour.cil Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, which date is not <br /> more than forty (40) nor less than twerty (20) days prior to <br /> the institution of annexation proceedings; and, <br />
