<br /> AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES
<br /> LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VARIOUS
<br /> OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FINDING
<br /> THE MATERIALS REMAINING IN THE PREMISES TO CONSTITUTE A
<br /> NLJISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY
<br /> AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABI-
<br /> TANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER
<br /> AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE TORN DOWN AND
<br /> REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUI-
<br /> SA NCE.

<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was called to order by the Mayor
<br /> of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, on the llth day of May,
<br /> 1981, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , in the Council Room, City Hall, in the
<br /> City of Paris, Texas; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Builing Hazard
<br /> Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolut.ion re-
<br /> ferred to the Committee by the City Council on February 9, 1981,
<br /> and said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 o'clock A. M. , on
<br /> the 24th day of April, 1981, and the hearing was had thereon. That
<br /> proper notice was given to the owner or owners oE the structures
<br /> located at the following addresses:

<br /> That at said hearing the Committee l.isted the structures involved and
<br /> introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures and var-
<br /> ious portions of the premises involved and a list of d.iscrepancies in
<br /> the structures located thereon. That the Committee found that each
<br /> of the above structures was .in such state of deterioration and dilapi-
<br /> dation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and property and that
<br /> each of sa.id bti ldings was d.ilapidated and was dangerous to l.ife and
<br /> property and dangerous structures to l.ife and property. That said
<br /> bu.ild.ings are in such state of dilap.idation and decay that none of sa.id
<br /> structures are capable of repair. It is further found that the condi-
<br /> tion of the premises and structures involved was such that the
<br /> Committee recommended to the City Council that they be declared a
<br /> nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by the City Council
<br /> to tear down and remove the same from the lots involved. That said
<br /> Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its find.ings with
<br /> the City Clerk of the City of Paris on the 30th day of April, 1981; and,
