<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 2474 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO- <br /> VIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br /> TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY ADDING SECTIONS 2-52 THROUGH 2-66 TO <br /> ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 2, PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br /> THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE RESERVE UNIT AND PROVIDING FOR <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 12, 1979. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PARIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of <br /> Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding Sections 2-52 through <br /> 2-66 to Article IV of Chapter 2, to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE IV. EMS RESERVE UNIT <br /> Sec. 2-52. Created. <br /> <br /> There is hereby created an EMS Reserve Unit <br /> under the conditions, rules and regulations set out in <br /> this article. <br /> Sec. 2-53. Purpose. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the EMS Reserve Unit shall <br /> be to assist and augment the regular EMS department <br /> of the City. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2-54. Composition generally. <br /> The EMS Reserve Unit shall be composed of <br /> such number of inembers as is determined by the Director, <br /> subject to the right of the City Council to expand or <br /> decrease the membership or completely disband the unit. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2-55. Director to direct and sponsor. <br /> The Director shall direct and sponsor the Unit. <br /> He shall aid in developing and establishing policies, <br /> directives, standard operating procedures, and programs <br /> of the unit. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2-56. Officers generally. <br /> The EMS Reserve Unit shall have a Supervisor <br /> appointed by the Director and approved by the City <br /> Council, and such other officers as the Director shall <br /> designate. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2-57. General duties of Supervisor. <br /> The Supervisor of the EMS Reserve Unit shall <br /> be directly responsible to the Director of the EMS De- <br /> partment and shall carry out such policies, orders, and <br /> directives as are issued by or through the EMS Director <br /> or his designated assistant. The Superintendent shall <br /> develop, with the advice of the Director, organizational <br /> policies, standard operating procedures, and training <br /> programs of the unit. He shall be responsible for seeing <br /> that the overall program of the unit is properly adhered <br /> to and developing and maintaining continued assignments, <br /> or instructions as directed or delegated by the Director. <br />
