Sec. 2-64. Transfer of inember from one shift to another. Any transfer of a member of the EMS Reserve Unit from one shift to another shall be with the consent of the Director. Sec. 2-65. Termination of inembership; suspension or demotion of inember. (a) Any member of the EMS Reserve Unit may, of his own volition, terminate his membership. In addition, any member may be removed, suspended or de- moted for: (1) Flagrant and serious violation of Reserve Unit or EMS Department rules and regulations. (2) Repeated minor violations of Reserve Unit or EMS Department rules and re- gulations. The method of determining and administering desciplinary action shall be under the supervision of the City Council and the Director. (b) Vh.en a member of the EMS Reserve Unit is terminated for any reason, all uniforms, badges, identi- fication, and other equipment shall be returned to the Director in reasonable condition. A release will then be signed to clear a terminating member of any obligation in this regard. Sec. 2-66. Article not to affect EMS Department or oper- ation of Civil Service Act. Nothing within this article shall be construed to in any way or manner affect the operation of the EMS Department or the rights and privileges of the members thereof under the Civil Service Act of Texas." Section 2. That Sections 2-77 through 2-80 be reserved for future use. Section 3. That Sections 2-62 through 2-64 of Article V be renumbered as Section 2-81 through 2-83. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on November 12, 1979.
