4.4. Hardware: All hardware to be put in operating condition. New keys must be turned over to homoowner as <br />work is completed. <br />4.5, Utilities: Use existing or provide own at Contractor's expensc if existing is insuffcient. Homeowner must <br />provide all exisdng utilities as is aad must be responsible for continuous maintenance and payment of <br />existing utilities. Conhactor will be responsible to determine utility nads to provide adequate senitary <br />facility and to safely opemte equipment at all dmes on site. <br />4.6. Unforeseen damage or Change in Scope of Work: Discovery of defective etements made kirown to the <br />Contractor before or during the construetion process must be brought to the immediate attendon of the <br />Contract Administcator in writing. When repairs are made, the repairs must reasonebly match the <br />sunounding materials in original design and dimension as approved by the Contract Adtnintstrator. <br />4.7. Where additional work is necessary to meke repairs or to oorrect unforeseen dangerous conditions, the <br />Contractor must submit to the Contract Administrator a work writt-up of the work, cost of such work, and <br />the time necessary for such work. Unless it is determined there exists an iuunediate health and safety <br />danger, NO WORK MUST BE AUTHORIZED uptil agreed apun !n wrldng by the bomeowner, <br />Contractor, and Contract Admfnirtrator. Compensation for additional work will be negotiated in the <br />following manuec: <br />A. The deletion of work proposed, but not started; or if that is not possible; <br />B. An increase to the dollar amount of the contract, however, approval of euch increase require the <br />homeowner, contractor, Contract Administrator, and State of Texas HOME pragram written <br />appmval. <br />C. Additionel Work - No other work must be done to the project ot6er than the work agreed upon in <br />writing by the homeowner, Contract Administrator aad contractor or as necessary to romove <br />immodiate health and safety dangers during the construction phese. <br />4.8. The Job Site <br />A. At the job site the contractar must obtain and display all permits and inspection tags as required by <br />the local Iespectian Department <br />B. The Contractor must use the site and its facilitiea only for the conshuction stipulated in the "work <br />write-up". The electrical, sanitary waste, water, and gas systems must be used only for <br />construction purposes and during the eonstruction phaso or during warranty work. <br />C. Any discrepancy in the contract documents muat immediately be brought to the attention of the <br />ContTact Administrator. <br />5.0 Site Work <br />5.1. Materials <br />A. Al) on-site fill matarial must be soil or soil rcek mixture which is free of otganic metter or other <br />deleterious substances. It must contain no rocks or lumps over 6tl in greatost dimension, and not <br />more than 15% muat be larger than 2Y2 b' in greatest dimension. <br />Imported fill material- must conform with 2.1 but must have a maximura particle size of 2b' in <br />greatest dimension, <br />C.
