A. Ap surfaces must be cured, dry and cleaned free of conditions that would adversely affect the <br />performance of the coating. Prime according to produot specifications. <br />20.0 MECHANICAL <br />20.1. Genera] Spacificadons <br />A. All plumbing installations must conform to the Southern Building Code. <br />B. When house is to be raised or lowered, temporary connections must be provided w have <br />continaous operaNon of ap systems by the homeowner. Any iptenupdon of service must not <br />euceed 28 hours. Homeowner must be notified at least 24 hoius prior to expected interruption, <br />and must be notified when system is once again opecational. <br />C. Relocate houae liaes to new or rclceated fixhues. Install aew venting to new fixture locations. <br />All lines must be locatcd in wall cavities and under foundation. Inclnde roof jacks and flashing <br />where necessary. <br />D. If lines can be repaired they must be repaired as needed to be in good operating condition and free <br />of defects. <br />20.2. Materials <br />203. Fixtures <br />A. New or replaced Kitchen sink must be new stainless stai 6" deep double basin, 30" self rim unit <br />installed in kitchen to include strainers/drain plugs, water and waste line eorreetions. Rim must be <br />sealed to countertop with standard aealer (i.e. plumbers putty, dap sealer, etc). Water lines must <br />have cut off valves at sink. Faucets must be a washerless, cartridge type, single lever unit unless <br />otherwise specified. Unit must be chrome plated braes. <br />B. New or replaced lavatory - repiace with a cast iron porcelsin enamel unit if dameged. Mount <br />securely to wall frame located as per plans. Faucet must be washerless, chrome plated brass dual <br />control unit with water, DWV, and cut off valves. Vanity unit, when specified, must have <br />monolithic sink and top of resin cast marble, bese must be wood veneer on front and sides. <br />C. New or replaced Tub Unlt - install new white cnameled steel tub unit as per pians. To include new <br />trap overtlow and drain with stop valve, and water and waste connections. Valvc must be <br />washerless and high quality chrnme plated brass unit with dusl control, jewel handles. Install <br />plumbing access. <br />D. New or replaced Shower Tub Unit - install new white fiberglass shower/tub unit as per plans. To <br />include new rap overtlow and drgin with stop velve and water connections. Valve must be <br />washerless aad high yuality chrome plated brass unit with dual concrol, jewel handles. <br />E. New or replaced Water Closet - install new white round bowi vipeous china low-flow type unit as <br />per plans. To have new tank gaskets, flow valve assembly, handle, mountings, lid and stat, and <br />water and waste water line connections. Water line must have cut off valves. <br />F. Bathroom hardware must include the following: <br />1. Two chcome towel bars 18", long <br />2. Chrome toilet tissue holder <br />3.
