13.2 Hazardous and Substandnrd Conditions <br />A. Hazardous conditions must include any condition tbat threatens the health and or safety of the <br />occupants. Subsfandard conditions include any condition that threatens, defeats or will lead to the <br />lack of functional visbility of a single feature of a home. These conditions must include but not be <br />limited to: <br />Missing or dysfunctional over6ead or other switch optrsted lighting in each inttrior <br />room; <br />Missing or dysfunctional lighting ai each exterior.door operated by an interior switch <br />that is within reach of the door; <br />Any other condition not mentioned which mcets the definition of a hazardous or substandard <br />condition should be repaired and/or rehabilitated to mect industry staadards. <br />14.0 Water Sapply xnd Wastowater Syrtemr <br />14.1 Minunum Water Supply and Wastewater Systems Standards <br />A. Every dwelling unit must be connected to a sanitary water supply and functioning sanitary <br />waste/water disposal system. <br />B. Evcry dwelliug unit must contain a room which is equipped with a functioning toilet and a <br />properly ipstaped lavaWry. Said lavatory must be propcrly connected to both hot and cold tunning <br />water, under pressure, end must be properly maintained in working oMer. Faucets should be fizc <br />from leaks or drips and should shut off completely <br />C. Every dwelling unit must contain a bathtub and/or shower. Bathtub and/or shower may be in the <br />same room as the f lush water closet and lavatory, or said bathtub and/or shower may be in a <br />separate room. T'hese facili6es must be properly connected to both hot and cold running water <br />lines, under pressure, and must be maintaincd in working otdec. Faucets should be free frnm teaks <br />or drips and should shut offcompletely. <br />D. Toilets and bathrooms must have doors with a privacy typc tock and such doors, lock and <br />' hardware must be operable and maintained in worlcing order. <br />E. Every dwelling must have supplied water-heating facilities which are properly installed; are <br />maintainod in working condition and free of leaks; are properly connected to any required hot <br />water lines; and, sre capablc of heating water to be drawn for every bath as well as general usage <br />F. Hot water storage assoceated with water hesting facilities must be not less than 30 gallans for a <br />single family dwelling. All water heatens must be properly vented and sealed and must be equipped <br />with a pressure relief valve and drip log. <br />G. Every kitchen sink, toilet, lavatory basin and bathtub/shower, must be maintained in working <br />condition and be properly connected to an approved water and sewer or septic system. <br />H. Potable water supply piping, water discharge outlets, back-flow prevention deviees or similar <br />equipment must be in serviceable condition fim from deterioration, cornosion and blcekage and <br />must not be so lceated as to make possible their submergence in any contaminated or polluted <br />liquid or substance. <br />1.
