REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL <br />TUESDAY, MAY 15, 2001 <br /> <br />The Airport Advisory Board Meeting was called to order by the <br />Chairman, Victor Abeles, at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Be <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Victor Abeles, Chairman James Ashmore, Recorder <br />James Proctor Vic Ressler <br />J. Richey <br />The following members were absent: <br />Mark Buster Paul Golden <br />Also in attendance were: <br />Tommy Haynes, Airport Director <br />Jim Collier, Airport Manager <br />Larry Schenk, City Attorney <br />Wendell Moore <br /> <br />lI. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the April 17, 2001, and the May 8, 2001, meetings were <br />distributed to Board Members. It was pointed out by the Recorder that <br />part of item V was not included in the minutes. <br /> <br />"The Board disagreed with taking insurance and ground <br />use costs from the lease agreements of Addison Airport <br />in Dallas, Texarkana Regional Airport in Texarkana, <br />AK; Grayson County Airport in the Sherman/Denison <br />Area; and the new airport at McKinney. Cox Field <br />Airport is unique and has very little in common with the <br />airports whose lease agreements were copied. It was <br />recommended by the Board that the City Attorney, <br />Mayor and any other member of the City Council fly to <br />Addison Airport and Texarkana Regional to see first <br />hand how inappropriate it is to use lease agreements <br />from those airports as a model for the lease agreement <br /> <br /> <br />
