for Cox Field." <br /> <br />Airport Advisory Board Meeting <br />May 15, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />This statement should be included in Section V of the minutes as the last <br />paragraph. With the inclusion of the above statement, the minutes of <br />the April 17, 2001 and May 8, 2001 meetings were approved. The <br />motion being made by Vic Ressler and seconded by James Ashmore. <br /> <br />The Board again discussed policy considerations and lease agreement <br />terms for new private hangars. <br /> <br />It was again pointed out that using lease agreement terms from Addison <br />Airport, Texarkana Regional Airport in Arkansas, Grayson County <br />Airport lease agreements would be inappropriate for Cox Field. It was <br />again recommended by the Board that the City Attorney, Mayor <br />Pfiester, and any other council members so desiring, accept the <br />invitation to be flown into the named airports to see first hand the vast <br />differences in these airports and Cox Field. As was pointed out by <br />member Mark Buster at the April 17, 2001, meeting, should the City <br />Attorney, Mr. Schenk, proceed with his stated intention of <br />recommending Tax Assessments, Insurance, and ground use fees of $40 <br />per month, as shown in the lease agreements from the four selected <br />airports, there would be very few if any additional hangars built at Cox <br />Field Airport. Vic Ressler moved to table this item until an additional <br />survey is completed. The motion was seconded by J. W. Ashmore and <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Victor Abeles and Tommy Haynes reported on the recent Texas <br />Aviation Conference held in Austin. Mr. Haynes reported that there <br />is more money available now than ever before. This is due to the release <br />of the federal aviation fund by the U.S. Government. We are receiving <br />grants for security cameras, drainage projects, new water lines, and <br />taxiways around the new 'T' hangars. <br /> <br />Status of the new 'T' hangars and drainage plans. <br />Bids have been awarded for the dirt work, drainage, and taxi lanes to <br /> <br /> <br />
