ORDINANCE NO. 2232 .
<br />AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEA.RING ON PROPERTIES
<br />LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, BELONGING TO VAR-
<br />IOUS OWNERS, AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FIND-
<br />ING THE MATERIALS REMAINING IN THE PREMISES TO CONSTI-
<br />TUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND
<br />PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE
<br />INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH,
<br />LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO BE TORN
<br />DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES, IN ORDER TO ABATE
<br />SUCH NUISANCE.
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was, on the 14th day of July, 1975,
<br />called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, James M. Brunette,
<br />at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , in the City Council Room, in the City of Paris,
<br />Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard
<br />Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution re -
<br />ferred to the Committee by the City Council on April 14, 1975, and
<br />said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 o'clock A. M. , on the 6th
<br />day of June, 1975, and the hearing was had thereon. That proper
<br />notice was given to the owner or owners of the structures located at
<br />the following addresses:

<br />That at said hearing the Committee listed the structures involved and
<br />introduced pictures of the various portions of the structures and var-
<br />ious portions of the premises involved. That the Committee found
<br />that each of the above structures were in such state of deterioration
<br />and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard to life and pro-
<br />perty and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and was dangerous
<br />to life and property and dangerous structures to life and property.
