ORDINANCE NO. 2238 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CER - TAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 3.05 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN TEN PER CENT (1070) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS. Whereas, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following described territory: BEGINNING at the intersection of the east right of way line of 41st Street S. W. with the north right of way line of Old Bonham Road, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 7, City Block 329, owned by T. S. Smith and lying in the present City Limit Line; THENCE in an Easterly direction along the north right of way line of Old Bonham Road and the present City Limit Line, to its intersection with a line that is 600 feet west of and parallel to the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 S. W. ; THENCE in a Southerly direction along said line that is 600 feet west of and parallel to the centerline of the outside lane of Loop 286 S. W. and the present City Limit Line to its intersection with the south right of way line of Old Bonham Road; THENCE S 78 ° 30' W along the south right of way line of Old Bonham Road to the northeast corner of a 0.5 acre tract of land conveyed to J. H. Blankinship and wife by Ernest Randle by deed recorded Volume 448, Page 250, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas; THENCE S 0° 50' W, 181. 0 feet to the southeast corner of said Blankinship tract; THENCE S 78 ° 30' W, 581. 0 feet, more or less, to a point in the east right of way line of Gordon Lake Road; THENCE in a Northerly direction along the said east right of way line of Gordon Lake Road to its intersection with the south right of way line of Old Bonham Road, the same being the northwest corner of a tract of land owned by Ernest Randle; THENCE Northeasterly across Old Bonham Road to the Place of Beginning and containing 3. 05 acres of land. was held at Paris, Texas, on the 9th day of June, 1975, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and, WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 25th day of May, 1975, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and,
