WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Paris,
<br />Texas, on the first day of January, 1975, was 13, 729. 728 acres; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is
<br />in excess of 5, 000 and less than 25, 000 inhabitants; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the extra-
<br />territorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and
<br />adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 3.05 acres,
<br />more or less, which when added to other property annexed in the year
<br />1975 is less than ten per cent (10%) of the present acreage contained
<br />in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; NOW, THERE-
<br />FORE,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS:
<br />Section l. The following described land and territory lying ad-
<br />jacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby added
<br />and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and said territory here-
<br />inafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits
<br />of the City of Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said
<br />city, at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described,
<br />are altered and amended so as to include said area within the cor-
<br />porate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to--,vit:
<br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the east right of way
<br />line of 41st Street S. W. with the north right of way line
<br />of Old Bonham Road, said point being the southwest corner
<br />of Lot 7, City Block 329, owned by T. S. Smith and lying in
<br />the present City Limit Line;
<br />THENCE in an Easterly direction along the north right
<br />of way line of Old Bonham Road and the present City Limit
<br />Line, to its intersection with a line that is 600 feet west
<br />of and parallel to the centerline of the outside lane of
<br />Loop 286 S. W. ;
<br />THENCE in a Southerly direction along said line that
<br />is 600 feet west of and parallel to the centerline of the
<br />outside lane of Loop 286 S. W. and the present City Limit
<br />Line to its intersection with the south right of way line of
<br />Old Bonham Road;
<br />THENCE S 78 ° 30' W along the south right of way
<br />line of Old Bonham Road to the northeast corner of a
<br />0.5 acre tract of land conveyed to J. H. Blankinship and
<br />wife by Ernest Randle by deed recorded Volume 448,
<br />Page 250, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas;
<br />THENCE S 0° 50' W, 181. 0 feet to the southeast
<br />corner of said Blankinship tract;
<br />THENCE S 78 ° 30' W, 581. 0 feet, more or less, to
<br />a point in the east right of way line of Gordon Lake
<br />Road;
<br />THENCE in a Northerly direction along the said
<br />east right of way line of Gordon Lake Road to its
<br />intersection with the south right of way line of Old
<br />Bonham Road, the same being the northwest corner of
<br />a tract of land owned by Ernest Ra.ndle;
<br />THENCE Northeasterly across Old Bonham Road to
<br />the Place of Beginning and containing 3. 05 acres of land.
