ORDINANCE NO. 2247 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPERTY ON EAST CHERRY STREET, FROM THE SOUTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 2A, CITY BLOCK 258A, AND THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF LOT l, BLOCK A, FRY ADDITION, EACH OF WHICH LIE IN THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 20TH STREET, N. E., IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION APPROXIMATELY 1889 FEET TO THE SOUTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 258, AND THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 8B, CITY BLOCK 257A, EACH OF WHICH LIE IN THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 25TH STREET, N. E., IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO PUBLISH THE SAME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF COSTS AND CON- STRUCTION PLANS OF SUCH STREET IMPROVEMENTS AS FILED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF PARIS; FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING A CHARGE AND LIEN AGAINST THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY AND AGAINST THE SAID PROPERTY ITSELF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, hereby finds and determines: 1. That the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, has heretofore by ordinance duly enacted on the 14th day of October, 1974, determined the necessity for and ordered the improvement of East Cherry Street, from the South West Corner of Lot 2A, City Block 258A, and the North West Corner of Lot l, Block A, Fry Addition, each of which lie in the East Boundary Line of 20th Street, N. E. , in an Easterly direction approximately 1889 feet to the South East Corner of Lot 5, City Block 258, and the North East Corner of Lot 8B, City Block 257A, each of which lie in the West Boundary Line of 25th Street, N. E., by installation of curb and gutter, storm sewer and paving, and according to the plans and specifications prepared by the Director of Public Works. 2. That a notice duly executed in the name of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, of the enactment of said above described ordinance has heretofore been filed with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, the County in which said City of Paris is situated. 3. That the City Council has caused the Director of Public Works to prepare and file estimates of the costs of such improvements and estimates of the amounts per front foot to be assessed against the property abutting said street within the limits defined and the real and true owners thereof. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
