2247 ORD FIXING DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPERTY ON EAST CHERRY STREET

Section 1. The date for public hearing before the City Council of the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , in the Municipal Court Room, Police and Courts Building, Paris, Texas, on the lOth day of November, 1975. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, the first of said notices to be published at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the date of the public hearing, as required by law. Section 2. That the report to the City Council by the Director of Public Works, consisting of the final estimate of the costs of the im- provements to the abutting property owners of approximately $2. 80 per front foot for curb and gutter, plus any additional costs to extend driveways and other improvements to individual property as requested by property owners, as heretofore approved, and the final construction plans and final estimate, as prepared by said Director of Public Works, are in all things approved by the City Council of the City of Paris. That the City of Paris is to pay all storm sewer and paving costs, in the amount of $5, 898. 20 and the abutting property owners are to pay the remaining costs of $13, 368. 98. Section 3. That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting property owners and to fix a lien against the abutting pro- perty, as provided frDr and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now designated as Article 1105b, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, under which law these proceedings were taken and had.
