ORDINANCE NO. 2146 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE NO. 1315 <br />AND ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE SUBSTITUTION OF A RECORDABLE <br />SURVEYOR' S PLAT TN LIEU OF A F INAL PLAT OR REPLAT IN CER - <br />TAIN INSTANCES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED <br />$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF JUNE l, 1973. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1315 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, be amended as follows: <br />a. The first paragraph of said ordinance is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"Whereas, under the laws of the State of Texas, hereafter <br />every owner of any tract of land situated within the corporate <br />limits of the City of Paris, or within five (5) miles of the <br />corporate limits of such City, who may hereafter divide the <br />same in two (2) or more tracts for the purpose of laying out <br />any subdivision of such tract of land or any addition to said <br />City of Paris, or for laying out suburban lots or building <br />lots, and streets, alleys or parks and other portions intended <br />for public use, or the use of purchasers or owners of lots <br />fronting thereon or adjacent thereto, are required to submit a <br />plat of such subdivision or addition for approval by the City <br />Planning Commission of the City of Paris, except when only <br />two (2) platted lots are affected or two unplatted lots are <br />created and no easements, dedications, or rights -of -ways are <br />required for public use and the owner provides a recordable <br />surveyor's plat and recording fee; however lots created under <br />this exception cannot be redivided, using the procedure es - <br />tablished in this exception; and, " <br />b. The second sentence of Subparagraph (8) of Section I <br />is amended to read as follows: <br />"It also includes re-subdivision or replatting of land, lots, or <br />tracts except as hereinafter provided in Section VI B. " <br />c. Subparagraph (10) of Section I is amended to read as <br />follows : <br />"(10) Final plat The phrase "final plat" shall be any <br />plat of any lot, tract, or parcel of land requested <br />to be recorded of record in the Deed Records of <br />Lamar County Court House after having been ap- <br />proved by the City Council of the City of Paris or <br />by the Commissioners Court of Lamar County as <br />provided for by County subdivision regulations. " <br />
