CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet m reguiar session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. The matters to be discussed and acted <br />upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless <br />an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to <br />any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person <br />with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as <br />individual personnel appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Deliberate and act on the approval of minutes from the meeting on May 31, 2012. <br />6. Receive and deliberate on reports and/or minutes from the following boards, <br />commissions, and committees: <br />a. Paris Visitors and Convention Council (12-7-2011) <br />b. Planning and Zoning Commission (5-7-2012) <br />Regular Agenda <br />7. Public hearing, first reading, deliberate and possibly act on an Ordinance amending <br />Sections 8-108, 8-201 and 12-100 of the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, by limiting <br />the operation of Head Shops to Heavy Industrial and Light Industrial Zoning Districts by <br />specific use permit and adding a new Section 12-100 (54), Head Shops, to the list of uses <br />requiring a specific use permit. <br />8. Deliberate and act on a variance request, Master Plat, Preliminary Plat and Final Plat for <br />Lots 1 and 2, Block A, D& P Addition, located at 1150 Clement Road. <br />9. Deliberate and act on a Resolution authorizing final payment and contract closeout with <br />J.B. & L Utility Contractors for the Texas Department of Rural Affairs Sewer System <br />Improvements Project. <br />10. Deliberate and act on a Resolution approving Change Orders No. 2 and 3 to the contract <br />with Bobby Smallwood Construction Co., Inc. for the Clarksville Street Sidewalk <br />Project. <br />
