Policy Statement June 7, 2001 <br />City of Paris <br />Nothing stated in this policy shall be interpreted to supercede any requireme nts of the <br />Subdivision Ordinance. <br />I. Curb and Gutter <br />A. Single Family Residence <br />Should a resident desire to construct curb and gutter on their property, the <br />following procedure shall apply. <br />1. The resident/owner shall contract with a bonded contractor and <br />registered engineer to install the curb and gutter section in <br />accordance with the City of Paris Standards. <br />2. The contractor must obtain a concrete permit from the City of Paris <br />Engineering Department. <br />3. Once the contractor has prepared the appropriate grade and frame <br />work for the curb and gutter section, the contractor shall contact the <br />City of Paris Engineering Departme nt for its first site <br />inspection/approval. <br />4. Following the approval of the s ite, the contractor has permission to <br />complete the curb and gutter secti on in accordance with the City of <br />Paris Standards. <br />5. The resident/owner is responsible for backfilling the yard side of the <br />new curb with appropriate topsoil and maintain any settlement. <br />6. The resident/owner is respo nsible for making any street repairs <br />associated to the project and to “tie” the new curb and gutter section <br />into the street with similar material as removed. <br />7. Once the contractor has completed the section of curb and gutter, the <br />contractor shall contact the City of Paris Engineering Department for <br />the second and final site inspection/approval. <br />8. The resident/owner is responsible for all cost related to the project. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
