9. The City of Paris Public Works Department will maintain the street <br />and curb and gutter in a manner consistent with city maintenance <br />procedures once project is complete. <br />II. Drive Culverts <br />s t <br />All drive culverts must be reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), class III, 1 quality or <br />high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE). <br />For drive culverts located on state maintained roads, safety end treatments will be <br />required. A detail of safety end treatments is included herein. <br />A. Single Family Residence <br />Should a resident desire to construct a new drive where no curb and gutter <br />exist, the following procedure shall apply. <br />1. The resident/owner shall contract with a bonded contractor and <br />registered engineer to install the new drive culvert and new drive in <br />accordance with the City of Paris Standards. <br />2. The contractor must obtain a permit from the City of Paris <br />Engineering Department. <br />3. The resident/owner shall purchase the appropriate s ized culvert <br />according to the City of Paris Standards and have it delivered to the <br />project site. <br />4. If safety end treatment is required, the resident/owner will be <br />resp onsible for its construction. Construction of safety end <br />treatments must meet all state and local standards. <br />5. Once the contractor has installed the appropriate culvert, the <br />contractor shall contact the City of Paris Engineering Department for <br />the site inspection /approval. This inspection will take place prior to <br />installing the drive surface from the edge of th e pavement to the <br />street R.O.W. <br />6. Following appr oval of the site, the contractor has permission to <br />complete the drive surface. <br />7. The resident/owner is responsible for all cost related to the project. <br />8. The City of Paris Public Works Department will maintain the culvert <br />in a manner consistent with city maintenance procedures once project <br />is complete. <br />
