POLICY sTkTEMENT <br />City of Paris <br /> Paris, Texas <br /> January 8, 1999 <br /> <br /> Nothing stated in this policy shall be interpreted or is intended to supercede any <br />requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance. <br /> <br />I. CURB AND GUTTER <br /> <br /> A. Single Family Residence <br /> <br /> Should a citizen desire to construct curb and gutter for their lot, the <br /> following procedure will apply. <br /> <br /> 1. Contact the City Engineer's office to make inquiry end start engineering <br /> investigation. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Engineer or his representative will contact property owner <br /> advise them whether project is feasible. <br /> <br /> 3. If the project is feasible, it will be the property owner's sole responsibility <br /> tO: <br /> <br /> a. Contract with a bonded concrete contractor to install the curb and <br /> gutter section in accordance with City of Paris standards. <br /> <br /> b. The concrete contractor must obtain a concrete permit from the City <br /> Engineer's office. <br /> <br /> c. The project owner is solely responsible for payments to the contractor <br /> and any other arrangements which may be entered into. <br /> <br /> d. Backfill yard side of new curb with dirt and maintain any settlement. <br /> 4. The City of P~ris will be responsible for and will pay for <br /> a. Any e~neefing studies to determine feasibility. <br /> b. Provide any construction grade stakes for the owners' contractor to use. <br /> <br /> c. Make any street repairs and "tie" new curb and gutter section into <br /> the street. <br /> <br /> <br />
