Any other property owner requesting curb and gutter construction will be totally <br />responsible for pr6viding a complete finished project, meeting the City of Paris <br />standards. The property owner will be responsible for all costs. <br />The city will conduct the engineering investigation to determine if new curb and <br />gutter at the desired location are feasible, at no cost to the owner. <br /> The City of Paris will maintain the street and the curb and gutter in a manner <br /> conSistent with city maintenance procedures. <br /> <br />DRIVE CULVERTS <br />All drive culverts must be reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), class III, 1'~ quality. <br /> For drive culverts located on state maintained roads, safety end treatments will be <br />requked. A detail of safety end treatments is included herein. <br /> <br />Single F~mily Residence <br /> <br /> Should a citizen desire to construct a new drive where no curb and gutter <br />exist, the following procedure will apply. <br /> <br />1. Contact the City Engineer's office to give precise location. The City <br /> Engineer will make an investigation to determine what size culvert is <br /> required and advise the owner of size and whether safety end treatments <br /> are required. <br /> <br />2. The owner will then order the required pipe and have it delivered to the <br /> project site. Call the City Engineer to advise that pipe is on site. The <br /> owner shall dearly mark on the ground the desired location of the drive <br /> culvert installation. <br /> <br />Once the City Engineer is advised that the pipe is on site, he shall issue a <br />work order to the Public Works department to install culvert. <br /> <br />Public Work; will then schedule to install the culvert and perform ,ny <br />ditch grading they may deem appropriate and install appropriate drive <br />surface from the edge of pavement to the street tLO.W. However, if the <br />owner plans to build a concrete drlve, the total cost of concrete work <br />will be'the owners. The cry will not build concrete drive approaches. <br /> All cost, except concrete drives, associated with the installation of <br />the culvert, ditch grading (if required) and drive approach will be borne by <br />the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
