Materials which are not designated
to be salvaged shall become the property of
the CONTRACTOR; and he shall dispose of the
material at his own cost and expense.
2.3.5 PROTECTION OF TREES, PLANTS, SHRUBBERY, ETC,.
No trees shall be removed unless so noted on
the plans or upon the specific approval of the
OWNER. Where trees, plants, shrubbery, etc.,
are adjacent to the line of the work and are
not to be removed or removed and replace, the
CONTRACTOR shall protect such trees, plants,
shrubbery, etc., by substantial wooden boxes
and guards and shall not permit machinery or
employees to scrape, tear the limbs from,
damage or attach guy cables to them; and if,
in the opinion of the OWNER, such trees,
plants, shrubbery, etc., would be damaged by
machinery, etc., hand excavation may be
required.
