Key Personnel and Qualifications <br /> <br />ARCHITEXAS <br /> <br />Principal in Charge/Project Coordinator <br />Craig Melde is a founding principalin the firm. Before the creation of ARCH1TEXAS, he was an urban <br />planner for the City of Dallas and played a significant role in the Historic Preservation Program. Since <br />the founding of ARCHITEXAS, he has over 23 years of experience as principal in charge and project <br />manager for many of the firm's historic preservation and preservation planning projects. He has directed <br />many of the firm's most significant projects including the Hill County Courthouse Restoration and is <br />principal-in-charge and designer for the Ellis County Courthouse, Hotel Gibraltar Rehabilitation and the <br />Lamar County Courthouse Restoration. Craig was the principal in charge and project planner for the <br />Architectural and Historic Resource Survey of Paris, Texas. He is a registered architect in the State of <br />Texas and has served on many boards and commissions including the Dallas Landmark Commission and <br />the Fair Park Design Review Task Force. <br /> <br />-i <br /> <br />Project Manager/Project Architect <br />Nancy McCoy is an Associate in the firm. She joined ARCHITEXAS in Septemher of 1997 and directs <br />preservation projects for the firm. Ms. McCoy's experience in historic preservation includes eleven years <br />in New York City, seven of which were in the employ of Ehrenkrantz & Eckstut Architects where she <br />directed restoration and adaptive use projects including the restoration of the U.S. Custom House and <br />the installation of the Museum of the American Indian, the Department of the Interior in Washington, <br />DC and Union Station in Kansas City. Ms. McCoy assisted in the preparation of the master plan for the <br />Fair Park Esplanade and has recently completed the master plan for the downtown revitalization plan <br />for Grand Prairie, both with MESA Design. Ms. McCoy received her Bachelor of Environmental Design <br />front Texas A&M University, a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in historic preservation <br />from Columbia University. Ms. McCoy is a registered architect in the state of New York. <br /> <br />-i <br /> <br />-i <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />Project Preservation Specialist/THC Liaison <br />Jay Firsching came to ARCHITEXAS in 1999, having worked as a courthouse specialist for the Texas <br />Historical Commission (THC) since 1996. There he was a team leader for the Texas Courthouse Alliance <br />Project (TCA), documenting some of the state's most important and endangered county buildings. Mr. <br />Firsching assisted the THC and Governor Bush in the creation of the Texas Courthouse Preservation <br />Project, working with a Governor appointed task force to establish the scope of the 50-million dollar <br />grant program. He worked to develop the THC rules and requirements for the project's implementation <br />and provided public information and education on courthouse related issues. He coordinated the firm's <br />courthouse master planning projects including Denton, Hardeman, Throckmorton, Lamar and Hood <br />County Courthouses. <br /> <br />ARCHITEXAS Team <br /> <br /> <br />
