His <br />responsibilities included surveying potential historic districts and development of landmark <br />ordinances with design guidelines and administering the design review process. <br /> Since, Mr. Melde has gained extensive experience in all aspects of historic preservation as <br /> well as new construction, these include rehabilitation of historic properties which have <br /> required Certification by the Department of thc Interior, cultural resource surveys, the <br /> National Register Program, Section 106 processes affecting historic resources, <br /> management plans for historic resources and Historic American Buildings Survey <br /> documentation.
