Ms. McCoy's experience includes the <br />restoration and adaptive use of the U.S. Custom House, where as Project Architect, her <br />responsibilities included the installation of the National Museum of the American Indian <br />for the Smithsonian Institution, the first fully climate controlled museum environment <br />~xSthin an historic building in the United States. The project included the restoration of <br />public spaces and the conservation of art and decorative finishes and has received <br />numerous awards including the GSA Design Award for 1994. Ms. McCoy's subsequent <br />experience includes a similar adaptive usc design for a science museum for Union Station <br />in Kansas City, MO, design of the modernization of the Department of the Interior <br />Building and the Old Executive Office Building in Washington, DC. Since joining <br />ARCHITEXAS, Ms. McCoy has directed the firm's work at Fair Park for the City of <br />Dallas which has included numerous rehabilitation and restoration projects, art <br />conservation, and a park-wide plan for restoring and mai.ntaining the historic paint color <br />scheme. In addition, Ms. McCoy has provided design consultation for developments <br />seeking federal rehabilitation tax credits including the Wilson Building in Dallas, and has <br />designed the disassembly, reconstruction and additions to a residence by Charles Dilbeck. <br /> <br />1907 Marilla Dallas.
