Consultant. <br /> <br />Key Qualifications <br />Mr. Firsching recently came to ARCHITEXAS, having worked as a historic courthouse <br />specialist for the Texas Historical Commission (THC) since 1996. There he was a team <br />leader for the Texas Courthouse Alliance Project (TCA), documenting some of the state's <br />most important and endangered county buildings. The TCA team conducted historical <br />research, conditions assessments, and field measurements necessary to provide thirty <br />counties with historic preservation plans and developed a database of almost 800 previous <br />and existing courthouse buildings. <br /> <br />Most recently, Mr. Firsching assisted the THC and Governor Bush in the creation of the <br />Texas Courthouse Preservation Project, working with a Governor appointed task force to <br />establish the scope &the 50-million dollar grant program. He worked to develop the THC <br />rules and requirements for the project's implementation and provided public information <br />and education on courthouse related issues. <br /> <br />He is currently coordinating the firm's courthouse master planning projects including <br />Bosque, Johnson, Red River, Collin, Harrison, Gray, Hopkins, Denton, Lamar, <br />Throckmorton, Hardeman, Hood and Ellis Counties. <br /> <br />1907 Marilla Dallas, Texas 75201 Tel 214.748.4561 Fax 214.748.4241 <br /> <br /> <br />
