Boots and gloves will be made available to each worker as needed. All <br />protective suits will be properly disposed of at the conclusion of the work. The workers <br />performing the abatement will decontaminate thoroughly in three-chambered wet <br />decontamination system attached to each containment. <br />3.3 Containment <br />Summary: <br />The work of this section includes containment construction guidelines for Work Areas <br />inside and outside of the building, unless the materials are being removed as a <br />component. <br />Inspection: <br />Make detailed inspection of the Work Area prior to beginning. Report in writing <br />unsatisfactory conditions encountered; do not begin Work until conditions are correct. <br />Beginning Work signifies acceptance of conditions. <br />Site Protection: <br />Protect items, materials, and structures designated to remain after completion of Project. <br />If wall, ceiling, or floor mounted items are removed to facilitate containment construction, <br />inventory removed items and replace in operating condition at completion of Project. <br />Replace, or repair to the satisfaction of the OWNER, elements that become damaged or <br />lost prior to Final Acceptance at no additional cost to OWNER. <br />Containment Construction: <br />Carry out the following installation procedures sequentially unless directed otherwise, in <br />writing: <br />Provide Worker Protection per Section 3.1 and 3.2. <br />Post warning signs in accordance with applicable State and Federal Regulations. <br />HEPA vacuum and Wet-Clean openings that will be covered by Critical Barriers. <br />Critical Barriers: <br />Openings to the Work Area: Completely separate the Work Area from other portions of <br />the building, the outside, and from openings to adjacent areas (doorways, windows, etc.) <br />by sheet plastic barriers at least 6 mil in thickness. <br />Responsive ■ Resourceful■ Reliable 4 <br />
