Fall protections protocols must comply with all applicable <br />provision of OSHA 29 CFR 1926.500, SUBPART L. Documentation of training for <br />each employee will be provided prior to beginning work. <br />i) CONTRACTOR will be responsible for the cleaning/decontamination of identified <br />items which the Owner intends to save due to their historical significance. Once <br />these items are cleaned they will be stored in a designated area provided by the <br />Owner. These items will be identified by the Consultant prior to beginning <br />remediation. <br />j) Remaining equipment, fixtures and items in the proposed works area are <br />considered contaminated and will be disposed of asbestos waste or lead waste. <br />k) CONTRACTOR will provide a continuous fire watch whenever an active <br />containment is in operation. <br />I) Drawings provided depict the generat locations of the identified lead containing <br />paint to be remediated. The drawings show the basic configuration or general <br />locations of the lead containing paint and are provided for informational <br />purposes. The CONTRACTOR will perform work for materials present, <br />regardless of actual quantities, extent of materials, even if the item is not <br />depicted on the drawings. No increase in Contract amount will be allowed for <br />quantity adjustment. <br />m) Owner will provide sources of power and water for the project, it will be the <br />CONTRACTOR's responsibility to route each to the area of usage at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense. <br />n) CONTRACTOR's fee will include the cost of the electrician/plumber expense for <br />abatement area "make safe." <br />3.0 WORK PRACTICES <br />3.1 Respiratory Protection <br />Throughout the project, respirators shall be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor <br />will provide respirators which are applicable and suitable for the purpose intended in <br />accordance with OSHA 1910.134 - Respirator Standard. The Contractor will ensure <br />that the respirators are equipped with filter cartridges designed for lead paint, dusts and <br />mists, vapors, and color-coded in accordance with ANSI Z228.2 (1980). <br />3.2 Protective Clothing <br />During removal of the loose and flaking LBP, at least one protective suit will be worn by <br />Responsive ■ Resoueceful■ Reliable 3 <br />
