Phase II - Scope of Work - Lead Paint Abatement Irerracon <br />Grand Theatre ■ 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br />June 4, 2012 ■ Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br />not locate seams at wall to wall joints. <br />Drop Cloth: Over the floor sheeting, install as a drop cloth, a clear 6 mil sheet plastic in <br />areas where lead removal work is to be carried out. Completely cover floor with sheet <br />plastic. Where the work is within 10 feet of a wall, extend the Drop Cloth up wall. Support <br />sheet plastic on wall with duct tape, seal top of Drop Cloth plastic to wall Barrier with duct <br />tape so that debris is unable to get behind it. Provide cross strips of duct tape at wall <br />support as necessary to support sheet plastic and prevent its falling during removal <br />operations. <br />Install Drop Cloth at the beginning of each work shift. Install only sufficient plastic for <br />work of that shift. Remove Drop Cloth at end of each work shift or as work in an area is <br />completed. Fold plastic toward center of sheet and pack in disposal bags. Keep <br />material on sheet continuously wet until bagged. <br />Install Walkways of 6 mil plastic between active removal areas and decontamination units <br />to protect top floor layer from tracked material. Install walkways at the beginning of, and <br />remove at the end of each work shift. <br />Emergency Exits: At each existing door from the Work Area, provide the following means <br />for emergency exiting: <br />Arrange exit door so that it is secure from outside the Work Area but permits exiting from <br />the Work Area. Mark outline of door on wall sheeting with luminescent paint or tape at <br />least one inch (1") wide. Hang a razor knife on a string beside outline. Arrange wall <br />Barriers so that they can be easily cut with one pass of razor knife. Tape or paint with <br />luminescent paint, the word "EXIT" inside outline in letters at least six inches (6") high and <br />one inch (1") thick. <br />Windows: Install window or windows into Containment Area to allow view to fullest extent <br />possible. Locate as required by the OWNER'S ON-SITE REPRESENTATIVE. <br />Negative Pressure: <br />The following requirements are intended to provide a satisfactory negative pressure <br />ventilation rate in the Work Area. <br />PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL: Provide a fully operational ventilation system within the <br />Work Area maintaining continuously a pressure differential across Work Area of 0.02 <br />inches of H2O. <br />Location of Exhaust Units: Locate exhaust unit(s) so that makeup air enters Work Area <br />primarily through decontamination facilities and traverses Work Area as much as <br />possible. This may be accomplished by positioning the exhaust unit(s) at a maximum <br />Responsive ■ Resourceful■ Reliable 6 <br />
