'5tate Speed Laws Applicable. The State traffic laws regulating <br />the speed o vehic es P. C. 827a, Regulating operation of ve- <br />hicles on highways, Section 8, Rate and speed of vehicles. ) <br />shall be applicable upon all, streets within the city, except as <br />this ordinance, as authorized by State law (P. C. 827a, 5ection 8, <br />Subsection 3. hereby declares and determines upon the basis <br />of engineering and traffic investigation that certain speed regu- <br />lations shall be applicable upon specified streets or in certain <br />areas, in which event it shall be prima facie unlawful for any <br />person to drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of any speed so <br />declared in this ordinance when signs are in place giving notice <br />thereof. " <br />5ection 3. That Ordinance No. 1812, Section l(a), be amended by <br />deleting therefrom: <br />"Thence East a distance of 2. 571 miles, a speed limit of <br />fifty (50) miles per hour, which extends to the East City <br />Limit Line in the City of Paris. " <br />and substituting therefor: <br />"Thence East a distance of 0. 250 miles, a speed limit of <br />fifty (50) miles per hour, which extends to the East City <br />Limit Line in the City of Paris." <br />Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith <br />are hereby expressly repealed. <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of January, A.
