ORDINANCE NO. 1827 . AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN SOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARISI TEXA.S, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING OF LESS THAN TEN PER CENT (lOl) OF ITS PRE- SENT CITY LIMITS,, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LTES ADJACENT TO AND AD- JOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS-OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXEIS, WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation of the following described property: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, and being a part of the Redding Russell Survey, and being described as follows: Beginning at a point vh ere the South East Corner of property belonging to the John Kraft Sesame Corporation intersects the North Boundary Line of West Center Str2et, in the City of Paris, Texas; Thence North with the E.B. Line of the Sesame property to its North Ea.st Corner; Thence West with the N.B. Line of said Sesame property to the E.B. Line of property belonging to the St. Louis- San Francisco Railway Company; Thence North with the E.B. Line of said Railway Right of Way to where the same intersects the North Boundary Line of Highway Loop 286; Thence West with the North Boundary L.ine of Highway Loop 286 to the West Boundary Line of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company Right of Way; Thence South with the same to the North East Corner of a tract belonging to Champion Packages Company; Thence West with the N.B. Line of the Champion Packages Company to its North West Corner; Thence South to the :North Boundary Line of West Center Street; Thence East with the N.B. Line of West Center Street to the place of beginning. was held at Paris, Texas, on the 8th day of May, A. D., 1967, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and, WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 21st day of April, A. Do, 1967, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Texas, is in excess of 5,000 and less than 25,000 inhabitants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the extra- territorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Texas; and,
