WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard
<br />Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution
<br />referred to the Committee by the City Council on October 10,
<br />1966, and that said Committee fixed said hearing at 10:00 oclock
<br />A. M., on the 21s.t day of November, 1966, and the hearing was had
<br />thereon. That proper notice was given to the owner of the struc-
<br />ture located at 444 East Tudor St. That at said hearing the
<br />Committee listed the above structure and introduced a picture of
<br />the same. That the owner of the property appeared before the
<br />Committee and requested time to repair the structure. That it was
<br />the recommendation of the Committee that the structure be condemned
<br />or repaired. That since such time the owner has died and the
<br />structure has not been repaired, and it is so stated in the report
<br />of the Building Hazard Inspection Committee, filed with the City
<br />Clerk of the City of Paris on June 26, 1968; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has f ully heard and considered the
<br />testimony presented upon the hearing and a complete transcript of
<br />the testimony reported by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF :PARIS:
<br />Section 1, That the structures located at 549 3rd St., S. W'.;
<br />338 VJest Sycamore St.; 613 15th St., S. inT.; 1128 Cooper St.; 1146
<br />9th St,, N. W.; 648 LJest Shiloh St.; 1351 7th St,, N. W.; First
<br />house South of 1656 lOth St., N. E,; 1738 Fitzhugh Ave.; 1400 llth
<br />St,, N. E.; 1341 llth St., N. E,; 1456 12th St., N. E.; 910 5th
<br />St,, N. E.; 836 7th St., N. E.; 1661 13th St., N. E.; 1012 3rd St.,
<br />N. E.; 1064 lst St., N. Eo; 1024 lst St,, N. E,; 1067 2nd St.,
<br />N. E.; 1042 2nd St., N. E.; S. E. Corner of 8th St,, N. E. and
<br />Blake Road; 506 5th St., S. E.; 544 5th St., S. E.; 965 Cedar St,;
<br />1441 lOth St,, N. E,; and 444 East Tudor St., are a nuisance, and
<br />they are her eby declared a nuisance, in that they are dangerous to
<br />life and property, and that the same constitute a fire hazard to
<br />lif e and property, and that the respective owners are hereby ordered
<br />to abate such nuisance within thirty (30) days f rom the d.ate hereof,
<br />The City Manager is directed to furnish the owners a copy of this
<br />ordinance, in the event the addresses of said owners are known, and
<br />in the event the respective owners refuse to comply with this or-
<br />dinance, the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, is hereby directed to
<br />proceed to enforce tha.s ordinance by injunction in the District
<br />Court of Lamar County, Texas, as provided for in Ordinance No. 1470.
