SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />2001 CITY STREET HMAC OVERLAY PROGRAM <br /> PROJECT NO. 46.53 <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR shall furnish insurance certificate indicating insurance coverage in the <br />types and amounts shown in ITEM 7 paragraph 7.4 Insurance, in the Texas Department <br />of Transportation STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAYS <br /> <br />STREETS AND BRIDGES latest Edition (TxDOT specifications). <br /> <br />Within 15 days after written notification of award of the contract the bidder shall execute <br />and furnish to the City the contract, with (1) a performance bond and a payment bond, with <br />powers of attorneys attached, each in the full amount of the contract price, executed by a <br />surety company or surety companies authorized to execute surety bonds under and in <br />accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, and (2) the Certificate of Insurance <br />showing coverages in accordance with contract requirements. <br /> <br />The performance bond and payment bond are to be furnished as a guarantee of <br />the faithful performance of the work and for the protection of the claimants for labor and <br />materials. <br /> <br />No partial payments for work in place will be made. One payment, upon successful <br />completion and acceptance by the OWNER will be made. <br /> <br />Quantities shown on the BID FORM are estimated quantities only. The OWNER will direct <br />the work working with the CONTRACTOR, to expedite and minimize any downtime and <br />moving time. Payments to the CONTRACTOR will be made based on mutually agreed to <br />amount of time that equipment is used or the ticketed tonnage of materials as bid. <br /> <br />CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />The City will be responsible for and/or make additional payment to the <br />CONTRACTOR for: <br /> <br />a. Fuel used by milling machine. <br /> <br />b. Replacement teeth and holders for milling machine, as needed, for this project. <br /> <br />c. Any water required by milling machine and compactors. <br /> <br />Traffic control, including personnel, barricades, signs, detours or any other devices <br />or people needed to accomplish traffic control. <br /> <br />Clean-up behind milling operations including power operated street sweepers, <br />brooms, detail pavement removal, handwork, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />
