Single family residence sewerage customers, who are not also water cus- <br />tomers of said City, shall pay a flat rate charge of $5. OO per month for sewerage <br />service. All other sewerage users, who are not also water users of the City of <br />Paris, will pay a flat monthly rate to be determined by the City of Paris. <br />Commercial and industrial users, exclusive of domestic customers, <br />shall not be charged for water registered by their water meter, which is con- <br />sumed and not returned to the sewerage system by the user in a product or <br />process. The amount of water so consumed by said product or process shall <br />be deducted from t-he userts total monthly water consumption to determine his <br />sewerage useage. It shall be the sole obligation and responsibility of the cominer- <br />cial or industrial user to furnish the City of Paris with the necessary information <br />to reasonably determine the amountof water so consumed in said product or pro- <br />cess, <br />Section 7. The schedule of rates as set forth above in Section 6 are for <br />customers, whose sewage strength does not exceed 250 p. p. m. 5 day BOD and/or <br />300 p. p.m. of suspended solids. Users desiring to discharge sewage into the <br />Cityls sewerage system in excess of the above average strength, and which is <br />acceptable under the City of Paris Industrial W aste Ordinance No. 14819 may do <br />so upon written permission of the City of Paris and by paying a monthly treatment <br />surcharge in the amount of $0. 20 per one million gallons of sewage flow for each <br />one p, p. m. in excess of the allowable BOD and/or suspended solids. The City of <br />Paris shall make the necessary tests of the userts sewage strength to determine <br />this charge. <br />Section 8, The charges for water and sewerage shall be due and payable <br />monthly in connection with and as a part of the water account for the current <br />month of the user and shall be chargeable as a lien and legal charge against the <br />deposit made for securing the payment of water bills. That the failure to pay any <br />sewer bill or water bill shall make the user of sewer or water subject to be dis- <br />connected from the water service and before service may be restored the user <br />shall pay a fee of $1.00 for reconnection charge, plus all delinquent bills of water <br />and/or sewer provided for in Section 4. <br />Section 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed. <br />Section 10. This ordinance shall become effective November 19 1965. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of Noverr,~e A.
