A FEE OF $25.00 FOR <br />EAGH RENEWAL FOR EACH YEAR THEREAFTER; PROVII?ING FOR A <br />PE NALTY; ANI? PR OVII?IlVG FOR AN EFFEC TIVE I?A TE. <br />BE IT ORI?A 1NEI? BY THE C ITY C OUNC LL.. OF THE C ITY OF PA RTS: <br />That Ordinance No. 1274, passed by the City Council on the lOth day of <br />November, 1952, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows: <br />Section 1. That the 1962 National Electrical Code, governing installa- <br />tions and wiring of electric installations, together with all subsequent <br />amendments thereto, are hereby adopted by the City of Paris, Texas, with <br />the following limita.tions and exceptions: <br />(1) Section 210-22, Subsection (b) of said National Electrical Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />That on all dwelling type occupancies, in every kitchen, dining <br />room, breakfast room, living room, parlor, library, den, sun- <br />room, recreation room, and bedroom, receptacle outlets shall <br />be insta.lled so that no point along the floor line in any useable <br />wall space is more than 6 feet, measured horizontally from an <br />outlet in that space, including any useable wall space 2 feet <br />wide or greater and the wall space occupied by sliding panels <br />in exterior walls. The receptacle outlets shall, insofar as <br />practicable, be spaced equal distances apart. Receptacle out- <br />lets in floors shall not be counted as part of the required num- <br />ber of receptacle outlets unless located close to the wall. <br />(2)Service Entrance Cables: All service entrance cables from <br />the meter socket to the panel shallhe installed in either of <br />the following three ways: <br />(a) The disconnect shall be located back of the meter in <br />inside of wall with conduit nipple. <br />(b) If the service eritrance cable is placed in conduit from <br />the meter socket to the panel, no main disconnect shall be <br />required at the meter, <br />(c) Any service cable from the meter socket to the main <br />disconnect shall be enclosed in conduit. <br />
