ORDINANCE N0. 1619 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMF'NDING ORDINANCE N0. ljl_~ - THE SUI3DNISION <br />ORDINANCE OF THF C ITY OF PARIS - ANIEIqDING SECTION VII - A-6, STREET <br />GRADES; AMENI)Il`TG SECTION VII - A-7, STREET AND ALLEY CR9-9NS; AMENDING <br />SECTION VIII - C-l, STREET BASES; AN-PNDING SECTION VIII - D-l, STREET <br />SITRFACING - I,OCAL AND COLLECTOR STRFETS; AND ANIENDING SFCTIOPI VIIT - <br />D-2, STREET SURFACINCx - AR`I'ERIAL STRFETS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEC- <br />TIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDA INED BY THE C ITY C OUNC IL OF THE C ITY OF PAR IS , TExA5 : <br />Section l. That Ordinance No. 1-515, Section VII - A-6, styled <br />"Street Grades", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the follow- <br />ing is substituted therefor: <br />Street Grades: The minimum ade for all streets shall <br />be 0e5 five tenths of one fl) per cento The maximum <br />grade for arterial streets shall be five (5) per cent; <br />for collector streets it shall be eight (8) per cent; <br />for local streets it ~shall be ten (10 ),per cent. If <br />natural topography is such as to require steeper grades, <br />the above ma.x3.mum grade shall be increased by twenty- <br />five (25) per cent for a maximum continuous distance of <br />two hundred (200) feet. Center line grade changes with <br />an algebraic difference of more than three (J) per cent, <br />and less than five (5) per cent, shall be connected with <br />at least a two hundred (200) foot vertical curvee For <br />every additional per cent of algebraic difference over <br />five (5) per cent, there shall be an additicrial fifty <br />(50) feet of vertical curve. All algebraic differences <br />in grade below three (3) per cent shall have a vertical <br />curve of not less tha.n one hundred (100) feeta Where a <br />cross slope is necessary or desirable from one curb to <br />the opposite curb, such cross slope shall not be more <br />than nine (9) inches on a twenty-eight (28) foot street, <br />or more than twelve (12) znches on a thirty-nine (39) <br />foot street, or more than eighteen (lb) inches on a <br />sixty (b0) foot street, except where new streets connect <br />to existing streets that require a greater cross slope <br />to connect, and then the gade change will be consumed <br />within one hundred fifty 50) feet of the connecting <br />point. <br />The grade requirements for alleys shall conform to those of <br />streets. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1315, Section VII - A-7, styled <br />"Street and A11ey Crowns", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and <br />the fol.lowing is substituted therefor: <br />Street and A11ey Crowns: The crown of al.l streets shall be <br />based on one-sixth (17(5) of an inch per foot of paved street <br />width, but in no case leas than four (4) inches, nor more <br />than ten (10) inchese A11 alleys shall have an invert crown <br />of one-sixth (1/6) of an inch per foot of alley width, but in <br />no case less than three (_5) inches nor more than five (5) <br />inehes. <br />Section 3• That Ordinance Noa 1315, Section VIII - C-1, styled <br />"Street Bases", be, and the same is hereby deleted, and the following <br />is substituted therefor: <br />Local Streets: All local streets within the addition shall <br />have either, _(a) a minimum of six (6) inches, compacted <br />thickness asphalt soil stabilized base, or (b) a minimum <br />of six (61 inches, compacted thicknesa, Portland eement sta- <br />bilized soil base, or (c) a minimum of eight > inches, <br />compacted thic -Fss, Oklahoma li.mestone base, or (d) a <br />minimum of four (4) inches Portland cement base. <br />
