ORDINANCE NO, 1625 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1495 OF THF, CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO, 1594, AND AMENDING OR- <br />DINANCE NO, 1624, REGULATING THE SPEED OF MOTOR VEHICLES <br />UPON THE STREET5 OF THE CITY OF PARI5, LAMARC7DUNTY, TEXAS; <br />PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION HEREOF; REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEGTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />5ection 1, That Ordinance No. 1495, Ordinance Noo 1594, and Ordinance <br />No. 1624, be, and the same are hereby amended9 by designating herein speeds <br />for certain areas within the City Limits, recently annexed to the City of Paris, <br />by adding to Ordinance No, 1594 the following portions of highways located <br />within the City of Paris: <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or drive any motor <br />or other vehicle at a rate of speed in excess of that specified for the <br />following streets and portions of streets: <br />(1) On Clarksville Street (U, S. Highway 271) Easterly from the <br />Old City Limit Line to the T. & P. Railway Right of W ay, <br />at the Under Pass, a distance of 0.625 miles a speed limit <br />of 50 miles per hour, at all times as evidenced by the <br />attached plan which is hereby approved and made a part <br />her eofe <br />(2) On Lamar Avenue (U. S. Highway 82 East) Easterly from <br />the C31d East City Limit Line to 600 feet beyond the center <br />line of the outside loop of Laop 286, a distance of 0, 385 <br />miles a speed limit of 50 miles per hour at all times, as <br />evidenced by the attached plan which is hereby approved <br />and made a part hereof, <br />(3) On Bonham Street (U, S. Highway 82 West) from the Old City <br />Limit Line Westward to the present City Limit Line, a <br />distance of 0.462 miles a speed limit of 50 miles per hour <br />at all times as evidenced by the attached plan which is hereby <br />approved and made a part hereof, <br />(4) On Farm -to -Market Road 195, from the Old City Limit Line <br />North Eastward to a point 0, 07 miles North East of Loop <br />286, a speed limit of 40 miles per hour, and North Eastward <br />to the present City Limit Line a distance of 0.052 miles a <br />speed limit of 50 miles per hour, as shown by the attached <br />plan which is hereby approved and made a part hereof. <br />(5) On 19th Street, N. W, , Northward from the Old City Limit <br />Line to the present City Limit Line a speed limit of 45 <br />miles per hour, <br />(6) On Farm-to-Market Road 79 leading North and West from the <br />City of Paris, beginning at the Old City Limit Line on said <br />Farm-to-Market Road, which is also known as 19th Street, <br />N. Wa, and continuing North and West with said Farm-to- <br />Market Road to where said Farm-to-Market Road crosses <br />the present City Limit Line, a speed of 45 miles per hour <br />for a distance of 0, 570 miles to the new City Limit Line. <br />
