E., BELflNGING TO MRS, MATTIE DANCER;; AND AN ORDINANCE OF THECITY COUNCIL FINDING THAT THE MATERIALS ON THE PREMISES AT 636 AND 634 5TH STREE'.T, S. E. CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA,, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISI-i, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE HOUSE,%WHICH WERE TORN DOWN, REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE; THAT THE HOUSESLOCATED AT 6139 6199 and 625 5TH STREET,s S. E.3 BELONGING TO J. M. HIX, ARE DILAPIDATED BEYOND STATE OF RE- PAIR AND AS SUCH CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND W ELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA AND ORDERING THE SAME TORN DOWN AND THE RUBBISH THEREOF REMOVED IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUI- . SANCE; AND THAT THE PROPERTY AT 614 5TH STREET, S. E.,; BELONG- ING TO MRS.' MATTIE DANCER, CONSTITUTES A NUISANCE AND A FIRE HAZARD TO LLFE AND PROPERTY ANDA HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND W ELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA AND ORDERING THE SAME TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE. WHEREA5, a public hearing was9 on this the 13th day of July, A. D, y 1964, called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, V. E. Stewart, at 7:00 o tclock P M.. in the City Council Room in the City of Paris: Texas; and, WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard Inspection Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution referred to the Committee by the City Council on the 8th day of June, 1964, and that said Committee fix.ed a hearing thereon at 2:00 0'clock P. M,, in the City Hall on the 18th day of June, A. D. a 1964, and a hearing was had by said Committee thereon. That proper notice was given to the owner of the properties located at 613.a 619, 6252 636, and 634 5th Street, S. E.9 belonging to J. M. Hix; and also on the property located at 614 5th 5treet: S. E., belonging to Mrs. Mattie Dancer9 a notice was issued thereon. That said notices were mailed by registered mail' and the return receipts of the respective parties were re- ceived by the Office of the City Attorney. That the Committee heard evidence of several persons interested in the area, and the Building Hazard Inspection Committee received pictures of the respective structures and heard the evi- dence of City Attomey, Ben F. Mooring, with reference to the present condi- tion of the premises. That the members of said Committee inspected and visited the structures and that said Committee found that each of the structures involved were in such state of deterioration and dilipidation to create a serious fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings still standing were dilapidated and were dangerous to life and property and were dangerous structures to life and property. That such buildings are in such a state of dilapidation and decay that ne.ither of the buildings mentioned are capable of repair. That the condition of the premises and structures involved are such that the Committee recommends to the City Council that they be declared a nuisance and that the ones be removed of those still remaining and to remove the rubbish from the premises of the ones that have been torn down. That the Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its findings with the City Clerk of the City of Paris on the 19th day of June, 1964, and furnished a copy to the owners at their respective addresses. WHEREAS, the City Council has fully heard and considered the testi- mony presented upon this hearing and the complete transcript of the testimony reported by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee; NOW, THEREFORE:
