E. CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD <br />TO LIFE AND PROPERTY AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE <br />OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA,, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISI-i, <br />LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE HOUSE,%WHICH WERE TORN DOWN, <br />REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE; <br />THAT THE HOUSESLOCATED AT 6139 6199 and 625 5TH STREET,s S. MATTIE DANCER, CONSTITUTES A NUISANCE AND A FIRE <br />HAZARD TO LLFE AND PROPERTY ANDA HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND <br />W ELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA AND ORDERING THE <br />SAME TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO <br />ABATE SUCH NUISANCE. <br />WHEREA5, a public hearing was9 on this the 13th day of July, A. D, y <br />1964, called to order by the Mayor of the City of Paris, V. E. Stewart, at <br />7:00 o tclock P M.. in the City Council Room in the City of Paris: Texas; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution referred to the Committee <br />by the City Council on the 8th day of June, 1964, and that said Committee <br />fix.ed a hearing thereon at 2:00 0'clock P. M,, in the City Hall on the 18th <br />day of June, A. D. a 1964, and a hearing was had by said Committee thereon. <br />That proper notice was given to the owner of the properties located at 613.a <br />619, 6252 636, and 634 5th Street, S. E.9 belonging to J. M. Hix; and also <br />on the property located at 614 5th 5treet: S. E., belonging to Mrs. Mattie <br />Dancer9 a notice was issued thereon. That said notices were mailed by <br />registered mail' and the return receipts of the respective parties were re- <br />ceived by the Office of the City Attorney. That the Committee heard evidence <br />of several persons interested in the area, and the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee received pictures of the respective structures and heard the evi- <br />dence of City Attomey, Ben F. Mooring, with reference to the present condi- <br />tion of the premises. That the members of said Committee inspected and <br />visited the structures and that said Committee found that each of the structures <br />involved were in such state of deterioration and dilipidation to create a serious <br />fire hazard to life and property and that each of said buildings still standing <br />were dilapidated and were dangerous to life and property and were dangerous <br />structures to life and property. That such buildings are in such a state of <br />dilapidation and decay that ne.ither of the buildings mentioned are capable of <br />repair. That the condition of the premises and structures involved are such <br />that the Committee recommends to the City Council that they be declared a <br />nuisance and that the ones be removed of those still remaining and to remove <br />the rubbish from the premises of the ones that have been torn down. That the <br />Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its findings with the <br />City Clerk of the City of Paris on the 19th day of June, 1964, and furnished <br />a copy to the owners at their respective addresses. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has fully heard and considered the testi- <br />mony presented upon this hearing and the complete transcript of the testimony <br />reported by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee; NOW, THEREFORE: <br />
