1489 ORD DECLARING NECESSITY FOR AND ORDERING IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS THEREOF

(b) The remainder of the costs of said improvements, in the amount of fifty cents (500) per centerline front foot shall be assessed against the respective abutting properties and the real and true owners thereof, in accordance with the statutes of Texas and the Cha.rter of the City of Paris herein referred to. When the improvements herein ordered for the streets designa.ted above, and the portions thereof, ha.ve been completed and accepted by the City of Paris, the amount of the assessment against each property abutting thereon, and the real andtrue owner thereof, shall be and become payable in five equal annual installments, due re- spectively thirty days after one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), and five (5) years from the date of acceptance by the City of Paris, together with interest on each insta.llment from said date at the rate of six per cent (6°jo) per annum, payable annually; provided, however that the awners of any of said properties shall have the privilege of paying all or any of said installments at any time before maturity thereof by paying the total amount of the principal of such insta.llments, together with the interest accrued thereon, to the date of payment. Further, if default is made in the payment of any of said insta.llments of principal or interest, promptly as the same mature, then at the option of the City of Paris, the entire amount, together with reasonable attorney's fees and all collection costs incurred, shall be and become immediately due and payable. Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause to be prepared a notice of the enactment of this ordinance and to file said notice among the Mortgage or Deed of Trust Records of said County.
