ORDINANGE NO. 1498 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING, ADMITTING AND iNCORPOR.ATING ADDITIONAL TERRITORIES IN LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING ADJA- CENT TO THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, INTO AND AS A PART OF SAID CITY OF PARIS, EXTENDING THE BOUNDA.RY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO INCLUDE AND EMBRACE SAID ADJACENT TERRITORIES, CONFERR.ING ALL RIGHTS, PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNI- TIES OF CITIZENSHIP UPON THE INHABITANTS OF 5AID TERR.ITORIES, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF WARD THREE AND WAR.D FOUR SO AS TO EMBR.ACE AND INCLUDE ALL OF SAID TERRITORIES AND IN- CORPORATING TR,ACT 1 IN WARD THR.EE OF SAID CITY AND INCOR- PORA TING TR.A.C T 2 IN WARD FOUR OF 5AID CITY, PRO ViDING THA. T ALL ORDINANCES, RULES, REGULA TIONS AND LA WS IN EFFEC T IN THE CITY OF PARIS AND THAT MAY HEREAFTER BE PABSED IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TERRITORIES AFTER PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE, INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDA,NCE HEREWI'IH AND TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SUCH TERRITORIES SHOWING STREETS, ALLEYS$ LOTS, TRACTS, AND PROPERTY OWNERS AND TO FILE THE SAME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CORRECT THE MAP OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO ADD SUCH TERRITORIES THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR OF TAXES TO LIST ALL PROPERTY THEREIN AND PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLLS OF THE CITY OF PARLS AND HERE-. AFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES IN ACCORI?ANCE WITH LAW. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section lo That the following described territories in Lamar County, Texas, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of said City, and are hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris, and the boundary limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include and embrace said territories and to conform to same as herein set out, to.•wit: TR.ACT 1; Located within the County of Lama.r and State of Texa.s, and Beginning at a point w here the Northern City Limits intersect the West Boundary Line of U. S. Highway 271 and/or North Main Street; Thence North with the W. B. Line of said U. S. Highway 271 to the South Boundary Line of the Right of Way of Highway Loop No. 286; Thence West and along the Southern Right of Way Boundary Line of Loop No. 286 to the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad; Thence South and West with the E. B. Line of the Right of Way of the St. Louis and San Francisco R.ailroad to a point immediately West of farthest Northern Boundary Line of the City Limits of the City of Paris; Thence East to the North West Corner of said City Limits. TR.ACT 2. Located within the County of Lama.r and State of Texa.s, and Beginning at a point where the W. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271 and/or North Main Street intersects the present Northern City Limits, which is the beginning point of Tract 1 above; Thence East across said Highway to a dista.nce of 500 feet East of the E. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271; Thence North and parallel to U. S. Highway 271 at a dista.nce of 500 feet to the S. B. Line of the Right of Way of Highway Loop No. 286; Thence West with the S. B. Line of the Right of Way of Highway Loop 286 to the W. B. Line of U. S. Highway 271.
