consideration and action. <br /> <br />City Council Meeting <br />May 14, 2001 <br />Page 14 <br /> <br />City Manager Malone recommended that this item be referred back to the <br />Airport Advisory Board for additional recommendation as there has been a <br />suggestion that the city can do another set of plans and specifications and be <br />able to build ten hangars instead of seven with smaller doors. He said the new <br />concept would accommodate 90% of the aircraft that use Cox Field. <br /> <br />Mr. Wendell Moore came forward and discussed this matter with the City <br />Council. He advised that it was his suggestion that ten hangars could be <br />constructed instead of the seven, and gave an example of how this could be <br />accomplished. <br /> <br />After further discussion, a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy, to table this item and refer it back to the <br />Airport Advisory Board for their study and recommendation. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-068, accepting and letting the bid of Richard Drake <br />Construction Company for the Cox Field Airport Preparation of Site Work <br />Around Seven (7) Unit Nested T-Hangar Project in the amount of $95,745.00, <br />and authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute on behalf of the City of Paris <br />said agreement, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, for approval of the resolution. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-069, accepting the Grant for Routine Airport Maintenance <br />Program, TxDot Project No. 1 AM2001PARIS, in the total amount of <br />$120,000.00, with the City of Paris providing $5,000.00 in matching funds, and <br />authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the <br />said Grant Agreement, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, <br />seconded by Councilman Gray, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-070, approving the form of the Election Under 42 U.S.C. <br /> <br /> <br />
