City Council Meeting <br />May 14, 2001 <br />Page 16 <br /> <br />it appears that by the end of the week the other half of the street will be <br />completed and felt within the next two weeks this project will be complete. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone told the City Council that the same contractor for the <br />Long Avenue Improvement Project is also the contractor for the Martin Luther <br />King Improvement Project and when the Long Avenue Improvement Project is <br />complete, he will move over to the Martin Luther King Improvement Project <br />and begin work. The City Manager said he did not have a projection as to when <br />this project will be completed, but feels the contractor will be starting the <br />project within three weeks. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone said all of the playground equipment has been installed <br />for the Record Park Improvement Project. <br /> <br />The City Manager advised that all of the lighting equipment that was budgeted <br />has been installed and is complete for the Culbertson Park Lighting <br />Improvement Project. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone advised that there have been several meetings of the <br />department heads regarding the Salary and Wage Study. He said notes were <br />taken on some of the questions the department heads had and those will be <br />made available to the consultant. The consultant will be asked to come back <br />and address those concerns and see what recommendations he may have. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone discussed the Paperless Agenda Project and told the City <br />Council that Starnet will be installing the web software within the next two days <br />and it will take city staff to learn to utilize placing item on the city's web site. <br />He said that DynaSource, who provided the scanning equipment, will be here <br />to give instructions on how to place information on the web site. City Manager <br />Malone said city staff will be scheduling times with the Council Members to <br />come by and be trained on how to use the system and appointments will be set <br />up in the next few weeks. He advised that the city would like to have the <br />system up and running before Council Members come in for instructions. Also <br />the technician will have to install the software for the Council Member's <br />computers. The City Manager said the agenda deadlines will have to be moved <br /> <br /> <br />
