That Sections 19 and 20 of Ordinance number 1074 passed by the City Council of the City of Faris on trie 16th day of February, 1942, entitled: "Ordinance nuruber 1074. An ordinance establishing rules and regulations for plumbers in the sanitary sewer district within the City of Faris, Texas, and area of police jurisdiction thereof; rrovidin!7 for the construction, regulation, rli-aintenance, inspection anJ oper- ation of inethods of waste disposal; establishinm rules and regulations f'or the governing of' plunbers ; arid plur,:,ing, rroviding for thp, violation of said ordin&nce or any section tYaereof, , and decl:aring an emerp~.ency" be and the same is here- by amended by changing and alterin;a, Sections 19 and 20 of said ordinance so that hereafter Sections 19 and 20 shall be anct read as i'ollows : Section 19. Request f or inspeetion ar?d tests. (a) It shall be the dut,y of ttie pliLmber to give 24-hour notice, exclusive of Sundays and holidays, to the City Flumbing Inspector when plumbing work is ready for inspection or test. (b) It shall be the duty of the plumber to nake sure that the ti,lork stand inspection and the test prescribed before givin; the above notification. (c ) If the City Flurnbing Inspector find.s that the work vaill not pass the required inspection and test, the plumber sha1J_ make the required corrections and request a new inspection. Section 20. (A) Inspection and tests required. (1) There shall be not less than two in- spections of all plu?-,zbinq installed in any building. (2) 1.,",rhen "rough-in" is completed, the pip- ing of the plumbing systeLn- shall be inspected and given a water test or air test, as required by the Cit57 Plumbing In- spector. (3) After the plumbiiz- fixtures have been set and their traps Pilled with water, tre entire drainage system shall be inspected anci where required by the City Plumbing Inspector, shall be submitted to a final test. (4) The City Flumbing Inspector may re- quire the removal of an,p cleanouts or plugs on any test to ascertain iP the prssure has reac"ed all parts of the sy- stem. (5) The equipment, material, povJer, and labor necessary for required inspections and tests, shall be furnished b.y the plumber.
