(B) T_eatincz ot' d.rainage 3,ystem. (1) Water test. The water test may be appliea to the drainage syste.L~ in its entirety or in seet- ions. If applied to the entire s;;Tstem, all opsnings in the piping shall be tiklhtl: closed except one opening which shall be not less thari two (A) f eet above the high- est fixture irl th-_ builaing, and the system filled with water to the point of overflow at said opening. If the sys- tem is tested in sections, each openin.p shall be tightly plugged except the highest openinm of t!-B section under test, whieh opening shall be not less thazl two (2) feet above the highest fixture in the builaing, ana each section shall be filled witn water to the point oY overflow at said opening. The water shall be kept in the system, or the portion uXider test, f'or at least f'ifteen (15) minutes before the inspection starts; and the system shall be tight at all points vvithout leakage. (2) Air test. The air test shall be made by attaching an air compressor or testing apparatus to any suitable opening and after closing all other inlets ana out- lets to the system, forcing air into the s~vrstem until there is a uniform gage pressure of five (5) pounds per square inch or sufficient to balance a column of inercury ten (10) inches in height. This pressure shall be helci without the intro- duction of additional air for a period of at least fifteen (15) minutes. (3) Gas pipes and connections shall be re- quired to hold ten (10) potzn.d or more air pressure v;ithaut loss Por fiftean (15) minutes.
