Ask .9@~ AML ` <br />A hearing will be held by and before the Governing Body of the City of <br />Paris, Texas, on the 8th day of June, 1953, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.t in the <br />Council Room of the City Hall in the City of Paris, Texas, to all owning or <br />claiming any property abutting upon said portions of said streets, and to all <br />owning or claiming any interest in such property. At said time and place all <br />owning or claiming any such abutting prooerty, or interest therein, shall be <br />and appear and will be fully heard concerning said improvementst the cost <br />thereof, the amounts to be assessed therefor, the benefits of the respective <br />parcels of abutting property by means of the improvements on the portions of <br />streets upon which the property abutts, and concerning the regularity, validity <br />and sufficiency of the contract for and all proceedings relating to such im- <br />provements and proposed assessments thereforg concerning any matter as to which <br />they are entitled to hearing under the law in force in the City of Paris and <br />under the proceedings of the City with reference to said matters, and in <br />accordance with and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts <br />of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now <br />shown as Article 1105b of the Vernon°s Texas Civil Statutest under which law <br />these proceedings are taken and had. Following such hearing, assessments will <br />be levied against abutting property and the owner thereof, and such assessments, <br />when levied, shall be a personal liability of the owner of such property, and <br />a first and prior lieng except as to State, County, School District and City <br />ad volorem taxes, upon the property as provided by law. <br />The improvements on each said portion of street constitute an entirely <br />s eparate and distinct unit of improvement, all to the same extent as if en- <br />tirely separate and distinct proceedings had been taken with reference to the <br />improvements and assessments therefor in connection with the improvements of <br />each such portion of said streets and the assessments against the property <br />abutting upon any unit shall be and are in no wise affected by any fact or cir- <br />cumstance relating to or connected with the improvements in any other unit. <br />Of all said matters and things, all owning or claiming any such property <br />or any interest therein, as well as all others in any wise interested or <br />affected, will take notice. <br />DONE by order of the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas this <br />25th day of May, 1953. <br />, <br />City Clerk, City of Paris, Texas. <br />
