W. <br />That no parking meter shall be installed nor parking <br />of vehicles shall be permitted in the reserved space adjacent <br />to or adjoining any Pire hydrant, theatre entrance or hotel en- <br />tranee. <br />Provided further that any vehicle of the Police or r'ird <br />Departme.nts, while in th e discharge of the official duties sha].1 <br />not be affected by any provisions of this ordinance. <br />Section 5:- That all parking meters shall be placed <br />upon the curb negt to individual parking spaces and said metere <br />shall be so constructed as to display a signal showing legal <br />parking upon deposit therein of the proper coin, or coins of <br />the United States according to the provisions of this ordinance, <br />as indicated upon said meters, regulating the parking periods of <br />the Cit y of Paris; and signa 1 to remain in f ull view until ex- <br />piration of said pa rking pariod. That said parking sbaces shall <br />be indicated by painted lines upon the surface of the streets in <br />said gar king mete r zones, as herein provided. <br />Section 6:- That when any vehicle shall be parked <br />next to a parking meter, the own.er or operator of said vehicle <br />shall park within the area designated by the curb and street <br />marking lines as indicated f or parallel or diagonal parking; and <br />upon entering any of said parking spaces situated in Zone I, <br />as hereinabove set o ut, the owne r or operator of said vehicle <br />shall immediately deposit in said parking meter a five cent <br />coin of the United States of America which shall entitle him <br />to the maximum lE gal parking limit of one (1) hour, or a one <br />cent coin of the IInited States of America, for twelve (12) <br />minutes legal parking tirne; provided, however, that the legal <br />parking time Por parking a vehicle on the 'Kest side of First <br />Street N. `!J. between the Plaza and a point 83 feet North of <br />the intersection of First 3treet N. VV. with the Plaza, or on <br />the Las t s id e of F'ir st Stree t S. VY . betwe en the Plaza and a <br />p4int 83 feet South o f the intersection of First `:')treet S. uY. <br />and the Plaza,shall be fifteen (15) minutes upon deposit in <br />par king meters located on such streets of a one cent coin of <br />the Uni ted State s of America ; and upon enterin , any of said <br />parking spaces situated in Zone II, as hereinabove set out, <br />the owner or operator of said vehicle shall immediztely de- <br />posit in said meter a f ive cent coin of the United 6tates of <br />Amer ica which shall entitle him to the maximum legal parking <br />limit of two (2) hours. It shall be unlawPul for any person <br />to fail or neglect to deposit the proper coin, or coins, upon <br />entering said parking space, or fail to park within said desig- <br />nated area. <br />
